Tour of the Illuminations

Tour of the Illuminations

As famous as the Trams and the Tower, Blackpool just wouldn’t be the same without the illuminations!
Each year, thousands of people flock to see this unique seaside attraction and there is no finer way to take in the spectacle than from one of our tramcars.

Departing at regular intervals from our Pleasure Beach Heritage Tram Stop, become part of the attraction with a ride on one of our unique illuminated feature and heritage trams.

Choose from the Western Train, Frigate “HMS Blackpool” or the Fishermans’ Friend trawler – all of which are eye catching, illuminated tram cars guaranteeing you centre stage and a great view of the illuminations as you glide along the promenade.

We also run trips with our heritage fleet as well, giving the opportunity to savour a tour of the illuminations either from the higher vantage point of a double decker or, if you’re feeling brave, from one of our open topped boat trams! Weather permitting, obviously.

Tours and prices

We run multiple tours throughout the evening, each departing from the Pleasure Beach Loop.
Please note – this is the ONLY location you can board one of our tour trams.
The tour lasts around 60/70 minutes and will run through the full length of the illuminations to Little Bispham, where the tram will turn round and head back to Pleasure Beach.

On the return journey you may leave the tram at any of our Heritage stop but please note that you can not re-board once you depart from the tour.

Adult fare: £6.00

Child fare: £3.00

Under 5’s go free if not occupying a seat.

Heritage Travelcards are valid on the tours.

It is not possible to pre-book a tour; just turn up at the Pleasure Beach and pay once you board the tram.

Please note: all times listed are approximate and subject to change.
