The Transformation of 675/685

June: The motor coach, 675, is still stored in the depot for now, but as our photograph shows, our skilled staff have made excellent progress with work on the trailer, 685. The old yellow and red livery leftover from the Metro Coastline days has now disappeared, and the smart green and cream colours are returning. This follows a considerable amount of preparation, not least to remove the stickers that previously featured along the sides of the tram as part of the Metro branding.

During 2015, Twin Set 675+685 was chosen for reactivation as part of the heritage fleet. It last ran in 2011 in its 2004 applied red and yellow “Metro” livery. Between May and September it was transformed into green and cream once more.

May: 685 has been split from its partner. Our picture shows the rarely seen inner end of a Twin car as 675 awaits its own chance to pass through the Paint Shop.
